Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative software lead to guide engineering efforts, shape technical direction, and deliver high-quality software solutions. In this role you will balance hands-on development with team leadership, mentor engineers, partner with product and design, and drive engineering best practices across the organization. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and encourage applications from people who bring different perspectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a cross-functional engineering team, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development.
  • Drive technical direction and architecture decisions to deliver scalable, maintainable, and secure systems.
  • Participate in hands-on development: design, code, review, and release high-quality features and fixes.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define priorities, scope, and delivery timelines.
  • Establish and improve engineering practices including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Manage delivery, track progress with metrics, and remove blockers to ensure predictable, timely releases.
  • Foster an inclusive team culture that values psychological safety, continuous learning, and constructive feedback.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software development experience and 2+ years in a lead or technical leadership role (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go) and practical experience with system design.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and common infrastructure patterns (microservices, containers, serverless).
  • Proven track record of delivering production software with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and build consensus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience driving iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience; commitment to learning and mentorship.

What the company offers:

  • Competitive salary, comprehensive health benefits, and a flexible time-off policy.
  • Opportunities for professional development, training budget, and clear pathways for career advancement.
  • Flexible work arrangements (remote/hybrid options) and a supportive, inclusive team culture.
  • Modern engineering tools, a collaborative environment, and meaningful impact on product and customers.
