HybridWe are seeking a skilled Bahasa Indonesia Translator to join our team and help deliver accurate, natural, and culturally appropriate translations for a range of materials including marketing content, product documentation, user interfaces, and customer communications. The ideal candidate is a native-level Indonesian speaker with strong English proficiency, experience using CAT tools, and a commitment to quality and consistent tone across projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Translate written content between English and Bahasa Indonesia, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and cultural relevance.
- Localize user interfaces, marketing copy, technical documents, and other client-facing materials to match target audience tone and conventions.
- Proofread and edit translated materials for grammar, style, consistency, and adherence to project glossaries and style guides.
- Use CAT tools and terminology management systems to maintain translation memory and ensure consistency across projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, editors, designers, and subject-matter experts to resolve queries and ensure timely delivery.
- Perform quality assurance checks and implement feedback from reviewers to continuously improve translations.
- Manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials.

Requirements and qualifications:
- Native-level fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and excellent command of written English.
- Minimum 2–4 years of professional translation/localization experience or a relevant degree (e.g., Translation, Linguistics, Languages).
- Experience with CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ, Wordfast, or similar) and familiarity with translation memory workflows.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills, with excellent attention to detail and consistency in terminology and style.
- Ability to adapt tone and register across different content types (marketing, technical, legal, product copy).
- Good time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolio of past translation work or references demonstrating relevant experience.
